A Ripple In Time

We are one thought, one choice, and one action away from creating an everlasting ripple in the void of the universe. Everything we do has an impact on something or someone, and our free will gives us the opportunity to choose whether we want to create a positive or negative experience into the vastness of the universe.

Have you ever thought of the effect you have on someone's day, by being friendly, rude, or off putting? Interestingly enough, even ignoring someone or saying hi can have an impactful experience on someone that will change their lives forever. Literally everything we do creates a wave of change that is unstoppable. Knowing that you have this kind of power, would you rethink some of the decisions you make on a daily basis?

I was once a passenger in a truck when the driver was cut off by a smaller BMW convertible with a license plate reading "Kulwhip". This person was in a clear hurry and my guess was that they didn't even see the truck I was riding in. Well, needless to say the driver of the truck I was in, got immediately angry and extended his very well manicured middle finger and gave the driver of the BMW the preverbal "BIRD"! The driver of the BMW quickly responded with a smitten look on their face, mind you I could only see their scowl from their rear view mirror, but they shoved their untoned arm out of the window and extended a very stern and angry "BIRD" that kept shaking with intent. Remember, I was peacefully drinking my early morning cup of coffee and listening to Bob Marley's-Three little Birds when all of this decided to go down.

I found myself going immediately into a profound thought and moment of illumination. This one gesture from the driver of the the truck had single handedly started a ripple effect into the universe that would carry on from the driver of the BMW on to the next person who they came into contact with and so on and so on until it escalated past a bird show and into a fight or even worse a murder. What would have happened if the driver of the truck was at peace with themselves and just accepted that the BMW probably didn't see their truck and waved them on like nothing happened? Would the BMW driver have realized that they made a mistake and they should slow down and not be in a rush when they drive, would they have gone about their day in a good mood, helping someone with something, providing a good deed to society instead of anger, hate and frustration. My mind was now blown with the very power that was at the tip of my finger. Could everything I do be broken down to a decision of Love and Hate? Hate being an emotion created by fear. Could I change the world with one act of Love that impacted a new person from one act of kindness to another?

The short answer is YES! We have that power and from this moment on, I encourage you to contemplate what your Ripple into the universe will be. Will you contribute with a ripple of love or hate? What world will you create?

You will have a life that is the sum of who you are as a person. It can be no other way, make your decisions based on who you are as the character in your book
